Why the 2007 BMW Z4?

Powertrain performance

The S54 engine provides very linear power from 2000 to 8000 RPM. The 6-speed tranny is close ratio and smooth. Diff is limited slip to 40%

Handling

Steering is very precise. Car tends to understeer but is easy to throttle control

Safety & braking

The CSL brake package offers incredible stopping power.

Front seat support & comfort

Adjustable thigh bolster and seat back bolsters offer great support and the Nappa leather is grippy to prevent sliding around.

Driving position & visibility

8-way electric seats and two way adjustable steering wheel offer many driving position options. Inside mirror rear vision is limited but outside mirrors make up the deficiency.

Why Not the 2007 BMW Z4?

Ride smoothness

The very firm sport suspension results in a harsh but controlled ride.

Quietness

Engine, exhaust and road noise are very intrusive

Cargo capacity

Cargo capacity is very limited and the car is not designed for towing

Audio & nav systems

Nav system is very cumbersome to operate; no voice commands and no touch screen

Fuel economy

City driving only about 17 MPG; highway driving 21 MPG
