Introduction

I compared this car to the Lexus ES 350 and found the the styling of the Buick was superior to the Lexus. Both cars seemed to be comparable to one another otherwise, except for the price. The Lexus with the same features was 5K more than the Buick.

Why the 2011 Buick LaCrosse?

Exterior styling

The exterior styling is one of the reasons why I bought this car. I think that the Buick design group did a beautiful job in styling this automobile. The Buick LaCrosse stands out in the crowd as one of the most elegantly designed cars in its class.

Powertrain performance

The V6 is powerful and responsive. The engine is very quiet. The transmission shifts gears seamlessly.

Ride smoothness

The LaCrosse's ride is peaceful and very smooth. You have the sensation that you can "feel" the road, but in a good way.

Quietness

The Buick Lacrosse is one of the quietist cars that I have driven. The Buick engineers did a fabulous job of practically eliminating outside noise.

Audio & nav systems

The audio system is another reason why I bought this car. When listening to a CD, you feel as though you are listening to a live performance.

Why Not the 2011 Buick LaCrosse?

Cargo capacity

The trunk space is very limited. If you want to place a large and bulky item in the trunk, you will need to bring a different car.

Driving position & visibility

The side and rear visibility is limited. The rear window is very narrow. As a result, I find the rear camera extremely useful. I wish that there were sensors in the front bumper, as you cannot see how close you are to the car in front of you while parking.

Conclusion

Buick has done a wonderful job of designing this car. The LaCrosse is beautiful, very quiet, and responsive. It is 5K less than the Lexus ES 350, which make it a great buy. It is comparable in every way to the Lexus except for exterior styling, where the Buick is superior.
