Transmission failed when backing into a parking spot; it would engage, but no movement. Eventually had to give it more gas to get parked - crunch. Later limped home & towed to a shop I trust. Complete rebuild needed.
Car was stuck in gear due to a broken shift cable. Cable asm was replaced, problem solved.
Clutch Spring needs to be replaced. Clutch still works.

NO PARTS AVAILABLE THROUGH GM PARTS SERVICE. "INDEFINITE BACKORDER" they said. We had to phone hundreds of dealers until a dealer in Texas would ship the parts. I am in Ontario!
Shifter linkage defective. 8 days to find parts, there are NO SS model parts in Canada. GM Canada & USA said parts on 'indefinate backorder' Found parts at dealer in Texas. I drive a Jeep TJ with 260000km as my Daily driver, more reliable!
The transmission started to pause and then jerk. The car was driven to the dealer and the transmission was found to be bad. The dealer replaced the tranny with a brand new one after talking to GM.
Transmission was slipping big time in drive. When dealer tech opened the tranny there was metal in the pan. When he got to $3100 in the estimate he stopped and told service manager. Installed remanufactured transmission. Update: GM later refunded $1700.
Lower transmission support and caused internal piece of transmission to break housing.
Noise in right front wheel area. Popping noise when making right turns. Dealer tech could not find cause. Nothing fixed and continues to make crack/pop noise on right turns. Rear bumper facia replaced, improperly installed at factory.
Replaced rear hub assembly after ABS and Traction lights came on.

Service traction warning. Hard shifting. Replaced both variable timing solenoids. Problem still there. Currently back in the shop
The transmission started banging each time it shifted gears. Fluid and filter change didn't help. Replaced internal parts.

came home earlier and needed to turn the HHR around to park Him and key wouldnt come out. tried everything, even undoing the side enough to see if there was a problem and couldnt see anything wrong.

Broken interlock pin in auto shifter. Entire shifter must be replaced. Common problem with the HHR and Cobalt.
Interlock pin in the shifter broke again and I just had to pay labor and the dealer bought the part.
Shifter linkage was replaced due to the fact that it would not allow the ignition key to be removed from the ignition. The shifter could be worked back and forth into P and it would then release key. Linkage replaced and no further issues. Covered by exte
