2003 Chevrolet Tracker Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by ianjdyck
IndyIan
Fuel economy
Highway driving at 55-60 mph yields 27-30 mpg. Very good for a 4wd vehicle with a low range transfer case.
Reliability & durability
Body is tight and rattle free, no major drivetrain issues in the first 100k miles.
Feature availability
Our base model was available with no power interior features or a radio. $150 buys a USB plugin deck these days, how much is a factory radio with that feature?
Powertrain performance
The 4 cylinder is a bit weak at low rpms, I believe this is because there is no knock sensor on the tracker so the timing maps are too conservative. The suzuki vitara clone does have a knock sensor so it should have stronger low end response.
Cargo capacity
Not that much space behind back seats when up, folded down it fits a clothes waching machine or other large boxy objects.
Feature availability
I would like to have manual front hubs available.
Rear seat room & comfort
Its abit small for adults, or large car seats.
