Chevrolet Traverse Fuel Economy: Pros
Year Body/Powertrain Comment
2013 4dr SUV 281-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD Not as good as I thought it would be. Expecting 23 mpg on the highway ... hit that in the warmer weather. Cold weather highway is around 20 mpg.
2009 4dr SUV 281-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD Expect this to be at the top of class, excellent for the size of vehicle
Chevrolet Traverse Fuel Economy: Cons
Year Body/Powertrain Comment
2012 4dr SUV 281-hp 3.6L V6 6-sp shiftable automatic AWD Fuel economy literally sucks!! I guess it's the price you pay for driving a big vehicle with all-wheel drive. I also own a new GMC 4x4 quad cab truck with a 6 liter engine. My truck gets better fuel economy than my 3.6 liter Traverse. Maybe I just got stuck with a lemon. I'm told that fuel economy is supposed to get better once the engine gets more km's on it. I doubt it will improve very much at all to notice any savings at the pump.
