Exterior styling
The Car, doup in a dark metallic blue, with alloy wheels was very attactive.
Discounts & incentives
I used supplier discountsand rebates to get the car at a very reasonable price.
Fuel economy
The car typically got about 30 MPG on long business trips.
Powertrain performance
The 2.7 liter engine offers OK performance coupled with decent fuel econonmy.
Interior styling
Mine was the Signature Edition. It came with decent looking leather seating. The dash was done slightly different from the standard ones and was a bit more attractive.
Reliability & durability
The car was simply unreliable. I had transmission problems, coolant leaks, suspension problems, brake problems and airconditioning problems. As soon as the 70K powertrain warranty expired, I dumped the car.
Depreciation
This model depreciates like a brick falling from the sky.
Materials & workmanship
The leather seats did not hold up well. The car is poorly assembled. The dealer had to re-rivet the front strut towers because they were coming apart. The mechanical problems were ridiculous for a model late in its life-cycle.
Safety & braking
The brake system on this car had neither ABS or 4 wheel disc brakes. It just just stop as well as its competitors.
Dealer practices
Every mechanical flaw in this car required numerous trips to the dealership to resolve. I found the dealership mechanics to be incompetent for the most part. For every problem they solved they created others.
