1000 mi   Computer sensor failed. Fuel injector system failed for 1 cylinder spraying fuel, causing engine to stall, strong fumes in cabin. Vehicle was towed to dealer with 1570 miles on it.
2000 US $40 Grinding and clicking noise at startup. Sound cuts out in stereo/nav system. Replaced system once, still trouble. Ordered another new mygig system.
5000   Continued MyGig problems/sound system problems. Automatic door open/close problems. Electrical.
22300   Plastic air dam above back window warped, plastic on bumper same problem.
27000   Plastic Airdam replaced.
37000   Basically the rear brakes "blew up". Front brakes still had life. Brakes and rotors replaced. Mechanic stated this was unusual.
76000   All four brakes and rotors including calipers replaced after being replaced less than 2 years ago. ABS/Traction control sensor malfunctioned. Replaced sensor and wheel bearings.
Chrysler Town & Country in Ohio, United States
Nov 2007 - Mar 2010
1600 mi   Replaced Left side sliding door automatic opener/closer wiring harness
2000   Installed new My Gig Radio.
Chrysler Town & Country in Alberta, Canada
Oct 2007 - Mar 2010
2480 mi   Power steering return hose split in -40C and leaked all fluid out of reservoir. Vehicle was not drivable. Power 3rd row seats would not fold up or down. Parts have been ordered. Auto temperature control now on the passenger side was extremely tight to turn. Parts ordered.
3100   Climate control knob very tight to turn, system replaced under warranty. Wrong parts ordered for power 3rd row, must return to install new parts. Brand new MyGig/Nav ordered, but apparently never came in. Must reorder and return in 1 week.
4340   Power 3rd row seat defective, parts ordered, couldn't repair. Whole new seat was ordered from factory and installed. Successfully repaired. Replacement MyGig was never ordered to repair original defective unit. Dealer finally ordered item and replaced with new one. Successfully repaired.
7440   Brake Master Cylinder failed and had to be replaced.
9300   The transmission shifter became very stiff to shift in to gear as well as when using the autostick.
12400   Engine was making a loud whining sound under acceleration.  Shifter became very stiff again.
14260 C $250 Loud whining sound coming from engine compartment. Pulley and tensioner was replaced, but sound still persists. Dealer thinks that it's the Alternator, parts ordered.
14260   Key FOB recall parts still did not come in, parts again re-ordered. Need to return to get this recall closed out. Whining sound still apparent even though alternator was replaced with a new one. Key FOB was stuck in the ignition on ACCESSORY and would not release. The vehicle's electrical system was operating at all times and would drain the battery.
15500   Key FOB stuck in ignition, new ignition NODE ordered and installed. It did not solve problem. The metal shifter release could not contact the key release. This piece was changed. Problem solved. Recall for KEY FOB still not completed. Waiting for parts. Whining sound still present upon acceleration only. Dealer cannot provide a solution and was told they all do that.
21700   At 33,000 kms, the front rotors and pads were completely finished and needed replacement.
28520   Power steering hose to reservoir tank split. AGAIN. Drove to dealer with no fluid and left overnight. 197-horsepower 3.8L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

Chrysler Town & Country in Texas, United States
Mar 2008 - Sep 2014
1000 mi   Pretty serious coolant leak from a freeze plug in engine.
37000   Driver's door lock actuator would not operate reliably Faulty ignition switch would allow car to run, but electrical accessories like a/c, fans, lights, windows, would not work. Could wiggle key to get it to operate again Whine from power steering led to the replacement of the rack and pinion. Dealer also replaced upper strut mounts and lower control arm bushings. Passenger side sliding door did not operate with 100 percent reliability. Result was that it would occasionally close almost all the way and then automatically re-open. Led to the car being left with an open door at malls, driveways, etc.
41000 US $120 One day it was fine, the next day, the sytem had lost its whole a/c charge. A rubber hose between compressor and condenser had failed, it appears. I replaced the hose and recharged the a/c myself. This is really dissappointing.
57000   Intermittent ignition problem where van would die on left hand turns and occasionally on hard bumps. Chrysler customer care paid for the repair. A recall for the same issue exists for 2010 and 2011 models. It's a faulty ignition switch. Rear heater hose failed and was leaking coolant at a poorly designed plastic connector. Part replaced was a huge hose assembly that cost $100. Come'on Chrysler. Van is really dissappointing.
71000   The instrument cluster freaked out, illuminating all warning lights, gages went dead, and wipers turned on. Replaced TIPM myself, didn't fix problem. Dealer diagnosed as bad wiring harness, est cost $4500. Repaired bad wire myself.
90700   The check engine light was on. A gas tank vent pollution device had failed and it cost me $300 to have it fixed. Gas cap also replaced. Valve cover gasket replaced under warranty.
102000   Had to replace the "y" shaped cooling water hose. Factory defect with a poor design. OEM part failed a second time. Replaced with an aftermarket part.
104000   Had to replace a leaking radiator.
108000   More problems with van. This time, a driver's CV joint has failed. It made really bad vibrations, and probably was responsible for ruining the wheel bearing. The axle and shaft was covered by the lifetime powertrain warr. Bearing wasn't.

3000   Dashboard lost communication with computer. All warning lights on; turnsignals, headlights non-operational; when brought to dealer, they could not replicate (I have video of it doing it).
9000   Intermittent unsolved electrical problems since delivery. Finally discovered it was a defective ignition switch getting stuck in the "crank" position. Ordered and replaced ignition switch.
16000   air conditioner leak
30000   Bad wheel bearing; also did A/C recall work and radiator recall work; got notice of extended brake warranty for brakes we already replaced

Had to have the visor replaced because the homelink to use the built in garage door opener wouldn’t set. It worked fine after the replacement.
1000 mi   I took it back in because I thought it had an oil burning smell. Turns out that’s the sealer they use on all the underbody parts and after another week it just went away.
