2013 Dodge Dart Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: If you want to be different get a Dart by Webtiger
Exterior styling
Some say it's the cousin of the long dead Neon
Some say it's too Eggish
It's all Italian compared to the other offerings!!
Interior styling
Much improved interior like other 2011 and later Chrysler offerings
No more hard, read cheap, plastic of days gone by.
The TFT display is amazing as is the 8.4" navigation/control screen
Lots of leg and shoulder/hip room in the front.
In the rear pretty comfy considering this is a COMPACT car
In both the front and rear it can be a tad tight for those over 6 ft.
Despite what Michael and others say... spend 15 minutes in this vehicle, front and rear seats, before you write it off...
Powertrain performance
The turbo does take getting used to for North American drivers used to 4, 6 or 8 normally aspirated engines.
The Turbo lag is very manageable once you learn the quirks.
Handling
Handles really well... it's definitely a DRIVER's car
If you're looking for just utilitarian transport there are better cars for A to B who cares type driving
Handling
So far zero complaints and I have pushed this car hard...
Sweeping turns at 20 mph over the posted limit are no problem in this vehicle.
If you really know how to drive quickly you can do it safely and with ease in the Dart
The rear independent suspension really sets the handling and ride quality of this car apart from its competitors
Tires
TPMS.. everyone has this
The Continental Pro Contacts are pretty good considering they're factory OEM rubber
Discounts & incentives
I missed any incentives because I just had to have a 1 of a kind vehicle.. that had to be transported over 950 miles
Fuel economy
I't probably middle of the road in real world driving but....
It's so much FUN TO DRIVE!!!
Towing
Seriously.. you were going to tow something with a FWD turbo?
Brand reputation & image
Chrysler has their work cut out for themselves.
Based on the non-owner reveiws it's a dog... and yes, that includes many of you on this site...
Owners love this car
Love the interior
Love the technology
Love the independent rear suspension
Love the instantaneous passing power on the highway
Love the quietness on the road
The turbo lag takes a lot of getting used to in this car
The drivetrain can be a bit tempermental after a long drive and hitting stop and go traffic. But.. it's still very early in the life of the car so we'll see how she goes in another 10,000 Km's
I LOVE that this is ostensibly a DRIVER'S car.. if you're looking for utilitarian transportation head right over to your Honda/Toyota/Hyundai/Kia dealer... please...
