Powertrain performance

The power of the hemi is great! It does what you ask of it and then some... i tow a 12k rv with it... right at my Max weight and then some when you add water propane and my crap... and i am at no power shortage.

Reliability & durability

So far so good. 18k or only towing... a little yes... but over brutal hills carrying crazy loads using lots of 5500 rpm engine braking.

Warranty, maintenance cost

I got a lifetime warranty so i have no worries! It will live a ruff life of towing its heart out and while i maintain it religiously if anything goes its a lifetime powertrain warranty backing me up!

Price or payments

I got it in 2008... they were practically giving them away! i got a 37k msrp truck for 25k out the door plus tax tags and title! sweet!

Fuel economy

That hemi drinks fuel... we live at 55-60 while towing and 10mpg is all we hope for... we get that on the flats with no headwind. If you get a hill with a headwind you are looking at 4mpg! Buyer beware! fuel is approaching 5 bucks!

Materials & workmanship

We got a midgrade ram. I wish i would have spent some more and gotten a higher line one. The interior is full on hard plastics!!!!

Handling

Keeping in mind its a truck its not bad... but the new coil overs are incredible in comparison!

Brand reputation & image

Depending on who you ask... the ram is a nightmare for dependability. Its my second one. The first one went 300 k all original before we sold it. Its current owner is at 377k still all original untouched. Ours is good so far but its still a baby!

Warranty, maintenance cost

Our model year has a horrid warranty for second owners... 3 years or 36 and thats it! No lifetime transfer at all! not even a consolation 5 50k ... nada! so for me its great... if we ever sell it... its warranty less!
