Introduction

I bought the Edge because of technology and rear legroom. The Edge is a good replacement for my 2001 Passat wagon, I have the same fuel mileage as my 4 cylinder VW without having to use premium gasoline. The Edge looks also help.

Why the 2011 Ford Edge?

Controls and instruments

I like the technology in the car. I have MFT and since the update in March 2012 the system has been fast and easy to use. The steering wheel controls are very well laid out.

Rear seat room & comfort

The Edge rear seat legroom is great. There are few crossovers with such good rear seat comfort and legroom. I did not want the third row, the lack of third row helps with rear legroom.

Quietness

The Edge is very quiet for both highway and city driving.

Fuel economy

The V6 gets good fuel economy. I have had the Edge for 13 months and have a overall average of 22 mpg. I am able to obtain the 27 mpg on the highway at 70 mph, more than that it does start to drop. Does not need premium gasoline.

Why Not the 2011 Ford Edge?

Cargo capacity

The center console is deep and hard to get to the bottom. Items get lost easily in the center console.

Controls and instruments

The car should have the Homelink system standard. Only available on limited, I miss this feature from my old car.
