Why the 2003 Ford Expedition?

Exterior styling

Although Ford built a jillion of these, the styling of the 2nd and 3rd generation versions always appeals to me. Older ones are a little long in the tooth so to speak. Look for 3 year old Eddie Bauer with less than 40K miles on it, should be under $19K

Interior styling

Everything is very easy to get to,and use. Look for EB with wood trim on the dash really sets it apart from all others. The seats are extremely comfortable, and are cooled and heated. The Eddie Bauer comes with DVD player, and premium sound system.

Safety & braking

Love the size - feels very safe from the elevation of being in a truck. Handling is fine, it is not sports car handling, still very tight steering and excellent, quiet, ride.

Cargo capacity

The electric fold down rear seat makes it simple to handle, plenty of room to carry most anything a person or family needs to move around or travel with. Towing a boat or trailer is easy - do not buy anything other than the 5.4 engine - too little power.

Feature availability

The Expedition is available as an Eddie Bauer which is loaded with features. There are lots of them out there for all years made. I highly recommend shopping for this version. Not much difference in the price but a whole lot more for your money.
