Why the 2009 Ford Flex?

Exterior styling

The Flex has a sharp post-modern wagon shape that echos "Wagoners" of the past in an chic, efficent package. The styling creates a spacious interior that easily fits six or seven with storage space to boot.

Ride smoothness

The ride is a smooth as an old school Town Car without the floatiness.

Quietness

Despite its blocky shape, the Flex is extremely quiet with little wind noise. With its comfortable ride and quiet interior, the Flex is very soothing.

Front seat support & comfort

The front seats exceptionally comfortable. They are large and supportive.

Rear seat room & comfort

The second row seats have limo class legroom and are sofa comfy. The second row screams road trip. The third row seats are ample for cross town trips for adults (6ft folks will fit) and should be no problems for the smaller ones.

Why Not the 2009 Ford Flex?

Driving position & visibility

The steering wheel is too close to the dash for many people, and it does not telescope. Optional adjustable pedals help, but you should really try before you buy. Also, the headrests are are quite large and bother some people.

Safety & braking

Overall the Ford Flex is highly rated for its safety (IIHS Best Pick), but the brakes are a bit on the weak side for a vehicle of its size.
