Side curtain airbags and an excellent safety record. The brakes are solid and effective. The ABS works well without coming on too early. The handling is car-like, which makes for a safer drive.
The power is good. Not the strongest but plenty of power for hauling the family. The ECVT transmission is OUTSTANDING, silky and seamless, delivering the same 19-20 MPG with AWD that I got with our old Audi A4 Avant despite being a much larger vehicle.
