Forget towing capacity, but the configurable interior is very flexible and able to swallow huge amounts of cargo.
Razor-sharp handling for a small car with twist-beam rear suspension. Even with the OEM all-season tires, the level of grip is confidence-inspiring on twisty roads. Sticky tires would make the Fit behave like a Mini with cargo capacity.
Airbags everywhere and powerful brakes with antilock on all four corners. The brakes are a little grabby initially, but are easy to modulate.
Even a short commute can exceed the EPA city estimates of 28mpg, and 40mpg on the highway is easily achievable. The Fit responds well to hypermile techniques.
All of the hard plastic trim parts fit very well. No rattles or squeaks noted in daily driving over a variety of street surfaces. Ergonomics and dash/control design is very good and visually appealing.
