Cargo capacity
Use of interior space is tremendous. Lots of room inside the hatch, rear seats fold flat for a huge space and fold up for a great space in the rear, terrific head room.
Depreciation
At 32,000 miles I lost a bit over $1,000 when trading the car in, although they skewed the figures to make the trade in look good. Still depreciation is unbeatable, Honda holds value.
Reliability & durability
Not a single problem in the 32,000 miles we owned it, just oil, filter and tire changes.
Exterior styling
I liked it, but this is purely subjective.
Controls and instruments
Everything easy to get at and easy to use.
Quietness
Really noisy all the time and very much so on rough surfaces or roads with certain textures.
Powertrain performance
What a dog, enough said.
Reliability & durability
Replacement tire choices very limited and the stock (Dunlop) tires do not get very many miles before needing replacement, 23,000 miles in our case.
Fuel economy
Although we got 38 mpg over the course of our 32,000 miles, we actually got better mileage with our previous 07 Civic over its lifetime and powertrain performance was much better for the Civic. Overall dissapointed with mileage.
Feature availability
Bare bones for the most part in comparison to many other offerings in this class of cars, does not even come with a carpet.
