I was somewhat disappointed by the fuel economy of this car. You are not going to see the 40 mpg numbers like the standard elantra. I drive in the city and get 25-30mpg on average. Typical highway mileage is pretty good though - I got between 35-37 mpg.
I couldn't find any other car with the same options that I was looking for (leather seats) at the same price point. The fact that it comes with a 100000 mile / 10 year power-train warranty is great too!
For the price (low 20,000) point, this was the smallest car we could find that had the largest cargo capacity. We have no problem fitting 5 people in the car, 2 guitars, and some bags in the trunk.
Don't try to get this car for driving performance or the "thrill" of driving! You'll be disappointed. It's no Mazda 3. You can expect a smooth ride, but don't expect much more.
