Distinctive, timeless elegance. I have 2 Jaguars and 1 Mercedes and I like Jags styling.

Brand reputation & image

Style - although a little bit old age appearance it makes other cars pay certain respect - less chances of being involved in accident. Nobody wants to race with you, but it has sufficient punch if needed.

Price or payments

You can find it for cheap these days. After this one I would probably buy and keep one good example for the years to come.

Fuel economy

3.0 engine is adequate; comparing it with Jag XK8 4.0 and Merc E500 feels underpowered (which is expected), fuel economy is pretty much the same as the V8 E500 and XK8 if you step on the gas.

Depreciation

Value of the car is depreciating quickly, which is good if you buy it second hand, but bad for the owners that bought it new
