Why the 2014 Jeep Patriot?

Safety & braking

Very bad cheap brakes, at 5,000 miles the car sounds like its metal on metal brakes. Have taken it to the dealer and they state there is nothing they can do to fix it. I may have to replace the brakes myself out of pocket. It is very embarrassing and annoying also.

Why Not the 2014 Jeep Patriot?

Interior storage compartments

When I bought the vehicle I didn't notice, but there is only one 12volt power outlet in the entire cabin. My Xterra had 5. They are cheaping out here, I need at least three to run everything I need for business. I will have to run extra power and outlets into the cabin.

Quietness

There is none, very loud road noise. Even with the radio turned up it is loud. Very very cheap noise reduction materials if any. You can tell the Fiat influence on the vehicle.

Powertrain performance

I have the smaller 4 cylinder engine, and let me tell it is a pig. After purchasing it, I took a ride to the mountains north of Tucson, not the Rockies at all. Well I had to turn off the A/C, and still the engine temp went past 12 o?clock, I thought the thing was going to shut down and over heat. Too small of an engine for the vehicle size. I would not purchase another Jeep product.
