Reviewed: 2008 Jeep Wrangler

4dr SUV 202-horsepower 3.8L V6 4-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range

Why the 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

Controls and instruments

This vehicle is made for going off-road and is capable of things other vehicles cannot do.

Brand reputation & image

Jeep wrangler is known as a great off-road vehicle that is capapble of going anywhere.

Past personal experience

I have had friends who have had Jeep Wranglers and liked the experience and fun of riding in a Jeep Wrangler.

Feature availability

Removeable top, removeable doors, lots of accessories and aftermarket options.

Exterior styling

Looks great and keeps the tradional Jeep image going.

Why Not the 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

Powertrain performance

The Wrangler Unlimited is a little underpowered and has difficultly at freeway speeds

Front seat support & comfort

The seats are not as comfortable as my trucks seats were. They are pretty basic but so is all of the interior of the Wrangler. It is made to get dirty, not look good or be comfortable.

Cargo capacity

The towing capacity is a little low. I guess it is the gear ratio and suspension but there are other SUVs that are similar in design that have much greater towing capacity. Also goes back to the Wrangler being under powered.
