Introduction

Roof will leak badly no matter what model you buy. Hard top or soft top. It's insulting how badly made Jeeps are. Think I'm kidding? Search "leaking jeep roof" on YouTube and you'll see tons of videos from owners like me documenting how BADLY jeeps leak. Like a running faucet on your head.

Why the 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

Reliability & durability

HUGE disappointment! TERRIBLE construction. WORST fit and finish. My Jeep Wranglers soft top roof leaked from the start. I blew THOUSANDS of dollars over four years of ownership trying to get Jeep dealership to repair the problem. No luck. Always got the run around. At one point, Jeep repair even admitted '...of course it leaks. It's a Wrangler.' Every time it rained, I'd have half an inch of water on the floor, and dashboard soaked. Seats were like sponges. I was tired of the Jeep bullsh*t and sold it off with 30k miles. Heartbreaking. Wranglers are fun, but very very unreliable and breathtaking how POORLY built they are. Don't waste your money.

Materials & workmanship

WORST construction I've seen. Cheap materials --cheap plastics inside and outside--- that break, crack and fall apart within a few months.

Past personal experience

Nothing but heartbreak. After a year, it was in the shop every few months with annoying breakdowns, recalls and dumb little flaws. Expect to pay an extra few hundred dollars each month just to keep it running.
