Why the 2010 Kia Forte?

Exterior styling

It has a bold, exciting design, more so than the Civic or boring Toyota. Sleek lines all over the car and barely be improved upon. This is a "tough" car, and a hard sell from me being an American musclecar guy.

Interior styling

Leather interior with red stitching on the seats and steering wheel. Easy access to accessories. Comfortable seats. Nice red-lighted theme on the satellite radio and dash.

Handling

Nice and stiff, but still soft enough to NOT be able to feel every bump in the road. I have a 10-year history of driving luxury cars, so this was a deal-breaker if it didnt feel right. 17" wheels great for looks and grip.

Feature availability

It came loaded with everything my American luxury car had AND more. Heated leather seats, satellite radio, heated windshield, 17" wheels, Moonroof, antilock, antiskid with override for performance, bling package on the speakers, MP3 player hookup

Why Not the 2010 Kia Forte?

Discounts & incentives

Nothing available except through KIA-HYUNDAI financing if you have a spotless credit record and 745+ score, apparently. College grad gets $400 but I didnt qualify despite most of this.

Dealer practices

They try to shove this Xzilon treatment package on you for $800, which is a total scam, doesnt last, and they refuse to live up to any claim. Extended warranty on this "great, reliable" car that would TRIPLE my payments, oh but free oil changes?! UGH!
