Why the 2008 Lexus GS?

Reliability & durability

I have had absolutely no problems with this car. Just take it in for oil every 5000 miles and all is well!

Powertrain performance

This power plant is amazing! Up to 440 lb-ft of torque from the electric motors instantaneously. Great power from a dig and passing.

Fuel economy

For 340 hp and a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds, I consider an average of 24 in the city and 33 on the highway to be incredible. If you really feather the gas and stick to 65 on the highway you can get around 36-38 mpg.

Audio & nav systems

They are very intuitive and easy to use. Nav is accurate. Mark Levinson stereo reproduces sound like nothing else. Easily crushes the Harman Kardon Logic7 in the 535i

Safety & braking

The brakes have huge power behind them. They stop the vehicle very quickly and effectively with no drama. All 12 air bags are their for me if I need them. VDIM (advance stability control) is unintrusive and does a good job of still puting down power.

Why Not the 2008 Lexus GS?

Ride smoothness

Although it handles very well, the run-flats can make the ride pretty bumpy. You know that pot holes and expansion joints are there. The "sport" and "comfort" settings do help.

Price or payments

It can be pretty pricey but it is VERY worth it!
