Introduction

The MKC has great style and sophistication without trying too hard. It is extremely comfortable even with my 20in wheels and it is also very sporty feeling. It has great turn in and handles fantastic around the corners. Along with the 2.3L turbo it has PLENTY of power. I feel that this SUV is highly underrated because of how Lincoln is normally reviewed in a negative manner. I own the Black Label version and the leather and materials destroy the competition easily. The only negative I can say is that the gas tank is small.

Glad to hear on the MKC! That motor and torque separate it from the compeititon as we considered one because of the 2.3T alone. It definitely crushes all V6's and turbo-4's in output! But after diving a 2017 Escape SE for 6 hours of uncomfortable seat and terribly loud tires noise, I was curious what Lincoln does to make a MKC or a Escape Titanium?

In the end the used 2016 Envision Prem ll with roof and Driver Confidence package which includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, heated steering wheel, real leather, vented seats, HUD, tri-zone climate control, and auto parking were a better deal at $35,000.

The tires on that Escape probably weren't noisy when new. Tires can become noisy if they don't wear evenly. New MKCs I've driven have been very quiet. A rental I had last year was much noisier because of how the tires have worn. FWD vehicles are more likely to wear tires badly because they have so much more weight over the front wheels.

Seats are very subjective. I personally found those in both the Escape and the MKC to be comfortable. I cannot recommend more strongly that people test drive a vehicle for as long as possible before buying it to make sure the seats are comfortable for them. Seat discomfort is probably the #1 bad surprise when buying a car, because it's not always apparent during the typical test drive.

The 2017 escape SE had 3,000 miles on it so it was fresh. It was very noisy at 65 mph I thought I might have tinnitus after 6 hours. The handling was pretty bad also. But the brakes were very responsive and the engine throttle tip was nice a crisp with good transmission programming it moved effortlessly from a stop. At 33+ mpg all highway it was as efficent as they come with AWD. The one and half liter and turbocharging is a sweet spot for a cuv with AWD and rhus weight.

The seat was just a opinion but I had a sore tail bone due to very shallow cushion. Do my Buick's make me soft? Lol! It did have one of thr softest headrest this side of a bird feather filled one in a Maybach.
