At 772 miles, car would not engage in drive then would slam into gear. When trying to accelerate would start slipping badly. Warning lights: TPMS, TCS then AT & engine. Transmission replaced, was told Sports Mode was causing internal failure
Transmission started hesitating while shifting from neutral, reverse, or stop lights up to 30 secs. Shifts were very hard. Transmission was replaced under warranty.
Transmission died @ 400 miles.; engine would rev up and suddenly slam in when stopped at a light, stop sign, etc. Dealer replaced w/new (supposedly) transmission. 1000+ miles now, and so far so good.
This was a diagnosis and attempted repair. The differential assembly was replaced.
Previous replacement of differential did not fix vibration problem. Transfer case was replaced during this visit. Road forced balanced wheels and tires. Previous replacement of differential assembly and transfer case did not solve vibration problem, nor did this road force balance.
Transmission required replacement.
Front shock rubber boots torn - both sides
Oil leak from transfer case. Fixed under warranty.
Unbalanced/debalanced right front wheel cardan.

Car de-accelerated on the road. Had to pull over and restart car.
When transmission is cold, after shifting from Reverse to Drive, engine revs to near 3000RPM. Vehicle would lunge forward.
When transmission is at normal operating temperature, rough shifting and clunking when switch from R to D.
Transmission slips and launches car erratically from R to D on cold start. Once transmission is warm, rough shift from P to D
Axle seal failure
The transmission died during a uphill. It would rev. but no acceleration at all. Pull over on the side shut the car for 30 second and it work fine after that.
Minor leak was discovered on differential case. Differential was replaced under warranty.
Replaced entire transmission. The car was left with the dealer on January 15 and was picked up on February 12. It took 2.5 weeks to ship a new transmission from Japan.
Shifter would stick in manual mode when returning from an upshift.

TPMS and Traction control light coming on. Manual mode indicator not iluminating. Rough shifting. Restart car all is fine. Happened twice. Mazda diagnosed with code U0401 - Invalid Data received from PCM and TSB#09-14-25. Brakes/Air filter
Dealer had to re-program the trans control module.
