Reviewed: 2008 Mazda CX-9

4dr SUV 273-horsepower 3.7L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

Why the 2008 Mazda CX-9?

Rear seat room & comfort

Long legroom in 2nd row seating, fold-down 3rd row seating has large seat cushions for adults

Handling

Handles better than minivans, highway driving is smooth and nimble for a 200" long car, feels like its a lot smaller. Curvy mountain roads are easily handled - steering is good. Short turn radius is a plus and brakes are strong and amazing.

Powertrain performance

Good power and transmission performance for a 4600lb vehicle. Easily, get up and go especially in manual shift mode.

Feature availability

Bluetooth built-in, Blind spot monitoring useful because CX-9 rear windows slope up and low cars are hard to see, available NAV and backup camera very helpful, available power lift gate w/ Bose stereo helpful also, remote/keyless start system, 20" wheels
