Feb 2012 US $175 engine light came on. took to my mechanic and codes p2195 and p2197. replaced pcv hose, engine idle control, intake manifold gasket and a few other vacuum leaks, engine came back on, mechanic suggested taking it to dealer.

Apr 2013 US $200 erratic idle, down on full throttle power. Replaced faulty PCV hose and valve. As a preventative maintenance I removed and replaced all spark plugs and COPs. 
Dec 2013   Front timing chain cover and oil pan develop leaks. It is a labor intensive repair. Estimates about $1,300. I first tried engine seal "stop leak" products with poor results. A telltale sign of burning oil accompanies this ford sourced duratech V6 defect.  
Feb 2014   Water pump developed leaks around the housing. Replaced it along with the short elbow bypass hose that connects the water pump to the coolant passages in the valley under the lower intake.

Jun 2013 US $650 Original alternator went out, the alternator would read normal without a load. The mechanic put a load on it and find out that the alternator would not produce enough to recharge the battery. 
May 2014   Outer tie rod, driver's side.

Dec 2011 US $38 PCV tube collapsed and disintegrated. Issue caused prake issues as well as engine idle issues.

Dec 2012 US $256 the car was intermittently hesitating, not running smoothly. it was a post-ignition problem. Spark plugs and some sensors had to be replaced.

Jan 2013   The van was running roughly and Check Engine light was illuminated. Code was read and indicated a misfire in Cylinder 3. Ignition coil was replaced and solved the problem. 
Dec 2013 US $200 Vacuum leak caused by collapsed PCV hose. 
Apr 2014   Failed ignition coil in cylinder 1. Repair included replacing 2 coils and spark plugs. 
Dec 2014   Replaced ignition coil on cylinder 4.
