2007 Mazda Mazda3 Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by PaulS60
2007 Mazda 3 Hatchback. A great little car, that's fun to drive. With more than adequate cargo space for a car of it's size.
I like the design of the 2007 Mazda 3 hatchback. I did not like the design of the Mazdas with the big "smile" on the front grille.
I find the engine is quite peppy. So much that I ended up spinning the tires quite alot when starting from a stop, when I first got the car.
The Front seats are pretty comfortable. The seat wraps around you a little more than many cars I've driven, and it adjusts well (along with the telescopic steering column).
I find there is a noticeable problem with visibility for the driver, due to the pillar at the windshield and also the pillar (B) between the front and back seats.
There are more than adequate storage compartments. I especially like the storage console between the seats that is split, with a smaller area on top that opens and then a second larger storage area below that one.
The car steers and handles quite well. You definitely feel you have complete control of it. The steering radius is also good.
My feeling is the ride/supension is not as good as it could be. Seems a little rough. Then again the car is now 11 years old.
I would definitely recommend the 2007 Mazda 3 Hatchback to anyone. Particularly if you need to carry around stuff regularly. Lots of storage space, with seats up, and plenty more with the seats down!
