Introduction

I bought this car a little over a year ago. In that time I have put over 6000 miles on it and loved every mile. Power is fantastic (2006 CLK500 V8 with 7 speed automatic) and reminds me of my 68 GTO, except the ride is better, engine is smoother, car is much quieter and maintenance is cheaper. Only real cost was a transmission service at 39000 miles (about $350 at dealer). This car is extremely comfortable, especially on long trips and gets fantastic gas mileage (usually over 26mpg at 78-79mph interstate travel. Did I mention this is a contertable (cabriolet). Did I also mention that it is as quite on the interstate as my Toyota Avalon. FIrst car I have had in a long time that puts a smile on my face every time I crank it up. Before you buy anything else go find a low mileage one with service documentation and drive it. You will be hard pressed to find anything better. Double check to see if anything you are looking at is telephone equipped. All of the 2003 through 2006 are wired for phones and can be upgraded for less than $1000.

2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK Love Letter

Styling is very good. The looks inside and out won't dissappoint anyone.

Conclusion

If you can find one of these that has been maintained, buy it! A few one owners out there.
