73000 mi US $680 left front coil spring broke as I was drivng down the street repair shop put on two new quick-strut assemblies (left and right)

117000   Recall for front coil springs. Both replaced. ****** NOTE***** Both rear coil springs also found to be broken- not covered under recall even though they are the same springs by the same manufacturer. Thousands of other complaints... 
118600   Replaced 2 rear coil springs that were broken like the front but not covered under recall. Because of this problem it caused the strut mounts and 2 broken sway bar links to be replaced.

83000   Junk Yard Altenator put on. Car taken for inspection. THIEF tried to rip me off for extra work. Declined to have the work done in VA. Two weeks back in NY to have work done by my Father.

2001 Mercury Sable 4dr Sedan

151000   Mechanic suggested tie rods be replaced as well due to excessive play.

2000 Mercury Sable 4dr Sedan

200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic FWD

76000 mi US $980 Broken rear coil springs (both). Replaced springs and sway bar links (one broken). Also replaced both front outer tie-rods. Full alignment and oil change. 
120000 US $324 Replaced worn left front wheel bearing. Mechanic discovered problem on a previous service visit and stated that it didn't need immediate attention, so I chose a convenient time to have it fixed. 
143000   Car developed front-end noise and a slight steering wander. Ball joints, front struts and front stabilizer end links were replaced to correct the problem. 
40000   all four springs on the car broke and could have killed me. One spring punctured the tire and destroyed the tire. 
116000 US $1900 struts, brakes, springs, ball joints, tie rod ends,

107300 US $75 Power Steering Pump was leaking from shaft seal. Although a replacement seal is available, it was easier to just replace the entire pump assembly with a remanufactured one.
