Introduction

Bought the Mini because, IMHO, it's the most fun to drive for the $. Considered buying a Subaru but the handling of the Mini won hands down.

Why the 2012 Mini Hardtop?

Handling

FUN to drive--holds the corners like a go-kart!

Controls and instruments

Like the controls/instruments but they can be somewhat confusing in the beginning.

Exterior styling

Love it.

Ride smoothness

Anyone looking for a couch on wheels probably won't care for it. Personally, I prefer it.

Warranty, maintenance cost

Currently the car is at the dealership to have a new engine installed. Spun a rod at 5,402 miles due to a defective part. All covered under warranty. Still love the car and don't regret buying it.

Why Not the 2012 Mini Hardtop?

Rear seat room & comfort

Rear seat room is extremely limited but it's a Mini...not a mini van!

Tires

Tires are fine in good weather/rain....not all that impressed with them when there's a little snow.

Front seat room

We're tall and have room to spare.
