Technical Service Bulletin was now available to correct the problem.
Had trouble starting vehicle (the vehicle would stall)and the check engine light came on and turned off by itself the next day.
Had trouble starting vehicle on a cold morning. Engine would keep stalling and the 'check engine light' illuminated. It took 5 tries to start the vehicle before it would hold a constant idle. The Tech replaced some relays.
Small bracket that re-enforces the rear 'face' of the muffler rotted 1/2 way off and was rattling.
Engine light came on, gas cap failure.
Timing belt tension-er leaked out all fluid, caused excessive wear on timing belt. Replaced defective tensioner under warranty, but the belt not under warranty,paid $190.00 CAD for timing belt, even though stated by manufacturer it is coverd

Very low oil level could not find the correct oil for my VW diesel engine fitted to my UK outlander. VW refused to let me buy oil from them I have never had to top up oil on other cars owned in a 12 month period
Car sent in for scheduled service. On the way home the engine sounded that it was sucking air. Took car back and they found a turbo pipe was blown off. Mitsubishi UK did not have the part in stock. Given hire car for 4 days.
Loud exhaust noise. Exhaust rusted through just behind catalytic converter. Taken to exhaust shop who cut and soldered a new pipe in. $160. (Previously quoted $1300 for replacement catalytic and pipe).
Replaced exhaust pipes between catalytic converter and muffler - 2 small holes
Reflash of TCM and ECM to eliminate hesitation issue.
Heat shield on center pipe is rusted and comming apart. Loud clunking noise when engine idling. Mitsubishi wont repair under the warraty cause they say its too expensive (???)...Dealer fixed it with a 1.39$ garden hose clamp...real classy
Car is not responding to gas pedal. Computer flash done.
Reflash engine control module and transmission control module with new firmware to reduce hesitation during abrupt manuevers.
Exhaust leak. Muffler shop was able to repair the broken section. The remaining exhaust system was O.K.
Throttle lag. Supposedly fixed with computer update. Seems better, but not perfect. Haven't reported.
Rust on coolant line. Lost coolant. Replaced lower radiator hose.
The chip in one of the keys not working and won't program.Was told that it's not covered by warranty,don't really feel like paying more than 200$ for a new one,praying for the one that works to keep working.
Rear wheel sensor went out. Replaced under warranty.
Very poor mileage, was advised needed 2 software updates. One for idling and one for heater and lights dimming.
cat converter bolt rusted, rattled shield and they replaced bolts all good
heat shield on exhaust pipe was rusted to be broken and get rattling.
Timing belt stretched and jumped a few teeth on the gears that drive it. Idler pulley for this belt was noisy due to bad bearing. Engine ran poorly. Dealer replaced belt, idler pulley, and water pump.
catalytic converter was defective, and dealer replaced under warranty.
Took for oil change. Dealer told me of all the repairs that were going to be needed including tires. Not worth keeping so I traded in
