2009 Nissan Altima Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by clearedforils

Past personal experience
I have had past experience with a Nissan Maxima and Nissan Titan. Both vehicles were very reliable, competitively priced, and sporty.
Powertrain performance
With the CVT, this car has a lot of get-up and go.
Fuel economy
I had a 4 cyl Toyota Camry that got about 21 mpg. The 6cyl Altima with CVT gets 21.8.
Discounts & incentives
I purchased the 2009 at the end of 2009, and received a $2000 rebate and 0% financing. Cant beat that.
Safety & braking
Passenger airbgs for the kids, is what I was aiming for here. The braking could be a little better I think.
Ride smoothness
It drives like a sports car with a tightly tuned suspension, which can get annoying for around the town trips with the family.
Audio & nav systems
The Audio system would not play MP3 disks, which I thought was pretty standard these days. I changed it out with a Alpine to hook up my iPod.
Exterior styling
I dont really like the headlights, they just look big and boxy from the front. Should have gone for the BMW 6 series lights, by cutting out some of the top.
Controls and instruments
What I was getting at here was how the climate controls work. For example, in the morning, I am trying to defrost my windows, but a truck is spewing smoke at me, but I cannot select the air to re-circulate unless I have it on feet, which does not defrost.
