Smooth ride and CVT, while it takes getting used to, is a nice feature to help preserve fuel economy. Interior well made and controls easy to find as a driver. Love the iPod hook-up, sattelite radio, NAV system, touch screen, list goes on and on!
Bucket seats hold you in around corners - very supportive. Telescopic steering wheel and power seats ensure you get a great driving position. Both seats and steering wheel are heated. Dual climate control great for passengers.
Steering is VERY responsive - gets tighter at higher speeds, but very easy to turn at slower speeds - makes driving in parkades and parking lots easier. Turns smoothly and holds the road well, even at higher speeds.
A lot of thought obviously went into ensuring that this redesigned version of the Maxima is very luxurious and, given the price, is really how it should be in order to compete with the higher-end brand names like Infiniti and Lexus.
No noticable shifting as you accelerate means that the ride is noticably smooth the first few times you drive it, due in large part the the CVT. But, suspension holds up well on bumpier roads and car does hold road quite well over bumpy areas.
