2010 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT AWD
This Murano LE AWD has never failed me in 6 months of operation in variable extreme frigid conditions. I have only had to change the oil, put air in the tires, and gas it up. I wonder what another winter or two of another 20,000 miles will do long term!
2009 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT AWD
My previous 2 SUVs were Jeeps. They had terrible reliability. Always in the shop. Nissan has a great rep.
2009 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT AWD
Great name and well built.
2009 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6

Nissan has won me over. My personal experience shows them just as reliable as Honda or Toyota and ive owned four of those.
2009 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6

Got it in March of 2008 and we LOVE it!! Everything is perfect! It drives easily, accelerates well, passes well, parks well and as I said makes a U-turn very well on a street. We would buy another one! :)
2007 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6

It seems to be well made, with no needed repairs so far.
2006 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6

In three years I have had no issues with this vehicle.

Nissan Murano Reliability and Durability: Cons

2009 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT FWD
Nissan has less-than-stellar reliability ratings from Consumer Reports.
2007 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT FWD
Some concern over reliability of CVT from reading online horror stories of prior year models. So far no issues and Nissan has extended the CVT warranty. Minor issue is the sometimes squeal of brakes on backing.

See CVT: how much is *that* going to be to fix?
2006 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT AWD
Seems to be a lot of issues amongs Murano owners with the CVT, if out of warranty, will cost over $7000 for replacement. Issues with driver seat frame breaking as well.
2005 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6

Having issued with the CVT. I am very concerned with the reliability of the NEW style trans. This is the main reason why I have became a member, to find out more info on this.

2010 4dr Sedan 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Its a Toyota, simple as that. They are built to last.
2010 4dr Sedan 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
5-speed manual FWD
I am a stickler on maintenance and was very disappointed on the driver side drive shaft seal leaking twice! I was not given any reason why this would happened but so far since the last repair it seems all is fine. I change my own oil and was able to notice the problem way before it was serious as I notice an oozing of manual transmission oil around this drive shaft. I have not been able to find this is a common problem though.
2009 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
5-speed manual FWD
I have not had a single problem with the car in the first seven months of ownership. Put gas in, change the oil and it just goes.
2008 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Have owned this car for almost three years. NO need to go to the shop at all (oil changes and other routine maintenance has been done at home).
2008 4dr Sedan 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
I have had 3 Toyotas now and all have been trouble free for over 150,000km.
2008 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Know others who own Toyotas and all are very happy.
2008 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Other than a few minor warranty problems the car is solid.
2008 4dr Sedan 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
It has a good reputation. I have known many Toyotas to have well over 250,000 miles on them without so much as minor maintenance and a few small repairs.
2007 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
No matinence really. Oil change is about all it needs for 100,000 miles
2007 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Many years history of solid red dots on Consumer Reports Reliability Survey.
