Why the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

Price or payments

I bought this car one year old, wiht just 31,000 lm for just $15,500.

Powertrain performance

The engine and transmsission are smooth and synchronized nicely and you do get a solid feeling of performance, like you should from 215 hp.

Ride smoothness

No lurching or shocks - none at all. But, maybe a bit marshmallow like.

Why Not the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

Materials & workmanship

Dash controls markings rub off and plastic parts are weak, have broken the interior vanity mirror. Rust formed at the base of the fuel filler door. Heater case area leaked water, had to be resealed.

Reliability & durability

Brakes are very prone to wear and not cheap to fix. But, that is about it for mechanical durability, not much else in the way of mechanical repairs to complain of. Turn signals have been a recurring problem, both bulbs and switch.

Fuel economy

I guess its the price to pay for good acceleration, but even on a long highway run, I get about 9 L/100 km, or 26 mpg. Overall about 12 L/100 km.
