Why the 2009 Pontiac G8?

Powertrain performance

Strong and smooth. The Sport and manumatic tranny options are a big plus.

Handling

The G8 handles very well and is a pleasure to drive on both the highway and twisty roads. Very nice balance between good road feel and smoothness.

Price or payments

$26,000 for a G8 GT with leather seats is a serious bargain. Even at the list price of $32,000 it was a good deal. The only similar vehicle in that price range is the Dodge Charger, and the G8 is a much more refined vehicle.

Rear seat room & comfort

Tons of room for the family. This is a true full-size sedan.

Why Not the 2009 Pontiac G8?

Fuel economy

Not bad mileage figures given the size of the car and the beast of an engine, but this is not a car for the hybrid set.

Exterior styling

I do not like the non-functional hood scoops.

Feature availability

I wish that a true manual tranny was available with the GT.
