Introduction

My Saab has been great!! 157,000 miles and never any problems!! I have changed the oil every 5k with original Mobil 1 0-40, changed transmission fluid every 30k and spark plugs every 20k ( plugs cost $35 and 15 min to change and I use only OEM NGK plugs). I have ceramic brake pads and have only changed brakes once since I mostly drive in manual mode. I replaced the coils at 100k and I keep the air filter clean. I use a K&N. Bottom line, maintain it before it breaks down and before scheduled intervals and treat it right and it will treat you right In return!!

Good advice for any car marque. My 1995 Saab 900 was still going strong at 235,000 miles (even tuned to 340 hp). Regular maintenance was an important facor in that.

Where do you get repairs and maintenance performed -- a GM dealer? I really like these SAABs, but I have always hesitated on pulling the trigger on one over fears of parts availability and service costs.
