Reviewed: 2008 Saab 9-3

4dr Sedan turbocharged 210hp 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD

Why the 2008 Saab 9-3?

Exterior styling

Unique styling that is not ostentatious. Great lines.

Powertrain performance

Good power once the turbo starts to rev up.

Fuel economy

Very good considering the power. I average 32mpg doing mostly highway. I cruise at 75mph and like to rev the engine in the city.

Handling

Didn't expect this car to handle so well. Have had VW GTI, BMW 330ci, Acura RSX, and this car just as good.

Front seat support & comfort

Great seats. Very supportive of back and upper thighs. Don't have tightness in shoulders and neck anymore on long drives.

Why Not the 2008 Saab 9-3?

Depreciation

Poor retention of value. In 4 yrs car is worth 25-30% of its original cost. No demand for used Saabs

Materials & workmanship

Most of the workmanship good, but some cheap touches in cabin
