Why the 2004 Saab 9-5?

Cargo capacity

Usable space is excellent. We travel with a dog and a baby and can always still see out the back window, even when the car is fully packed. The key is *usable* space, not just space. This is a low, wide luxury car. I hate minivans, so this is perfect.

Powertrain performance

220hp, and particularly low RPM torque (peak torque starts at around 1800rpm) means this car just *moves* on the road. I would usually opt for a manual, but this auto made me rethink that. Shifts are instantaneous, no hunting for gears. Very smooth power.
