4dr Sedan 252-horsepower 3.6L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

Why the 2007 Saturn AURA?

Interior styling

The Morocco Brown leather option on my AURA is eye catching and beautiful. It brings a level of uniqueness to the car.

Insurance cost

Insurance rate on this car is very reasonable.

Feature availability

Great stereo, OnStar is handy for directions and a great safety feature in the event of an accident, remote start is a wonderful convenience to have in the winter.

Quietness

The interior is very quiet even at high speeds. The front windows are laminated, not tempered, which reduces the interior noise level even more.

Why Not the 2007 Saturn AURA?

Reliability & durability

Reliability on my AURA has been horrific. The power steering system has a design flaw in the intermediate steering shaft. I also have water leaks into the interior and a sluggish transmission. Currently pursuing lemon law for a buyback or compensation.

Dealer practices

Almost every problem I have had with the AURA has never been fixed entirely correctly. I have had the same items, especially the steering system, repaired time and time again.

Powertrain performance

The transmission is very unresponsive especially in slow speed traffic where a very noticeable and uncomfortable lurch can be felt when accelerating.

Fuel economy

The fuel economy is not class leading. I average about 20 miles per gallon in a mix of city and highway driving.
