The SX4 was very affordable. I bought the crossover with the touring package that had a ton of features including iAWD. Comparable Matrix 2009 and Calibre 2008 were almost $ 8000 more with similar power AWD and less standard features.
It came with just about all you need. It also can give good cargo area with the seats lifted up.
The insurance on the SX4 is atleast $100 a year cheaper than toyota dodge honda and nissan comparable vehicles. My insurance actually dropped changing over from a 10 yo corolla.
For a car with AWD and 143 Horse power and weight, it is good. It is much better than any other crossover out there. If I didnt live in such a hilly area with many lights Iwould probobly get around 27mpg average. on the highway i get 28-29mpg Hilly.
Good brakes and tires, lots of safety features. Handles well in snow rain and ice in or out of awd. car feels safe and solid, not tinny! doesanot get blown by wind.
