55000 mi

Premature wear, due to cocking of left rear brake pad which scored rotor. Seems like rust caused pad tightness in the bracket. I have seen this before. Even so, they did have 57k miles on them.
74000 mi

US $120
Left rear caliper failed; would not retract which burned pads to the metal. Replaced caliper and pads.
64600 mi Right rear caliper was sticking causing uneven brake wear
36925 mi Noticed brake squeal on front passenger side when either braking lightly or turning. Removed all caliper components on both front wheels, then lubricated all mating surfaces with Permatex Anti-Seize compound. Found dried material (road concrete?) on squeaking side caliper mounting bracket. Resolved.
38987 mi Performed rear brake service. Extremely lop-sided wear on left driver-side rear pad. Rotor and opposing pad appeared to be normal. Applied anti-seize compound to all mating surfaces. Slide pins seem to be acting normally. Performed same maintenance on passenger side, which had normal and even wear. Purchased new rotor and pad kit. Will create another entry for replacement.

75000 mi

US $650
The rear brakes had seized slightly shut. It was so minor I didn't notice it, and the rear brakes never got hot enough to glow or melt the plastic rim covers. A 1/2" wide band was visibly worn into the brake rotor from where the pad had worn down to the steel brake pad back. My first alert anything was wrong was a grinding noise that was intermittent when I used my brakes (intermittent meaning it sometimes ground and sometimes didn't). I estimate the brakes seized sometime around 3 years ago, because that was when I lost about 2 MPG, which I conveniently got back after getting the rear brakes and rotors replaced.
