Mar 2009 US $100 Bad thermostat replaced at 84,000 miles, first noticed at 83,000 miles with check engine light. Bad thermostat stuck open, drivibility unaffected.

Aug 2008 US $500 Cooling pump failure - plastic vanes of pump impeller failed. Mechanic recommended a thermostat replacement since an overheat had occurred. 
Dec 2009   Check Engine Light. Was a bad O2 sensor.

May 2008   Fuel pump died. The above doesn't seem to have a choice for fuel system issues and I dont know if it was electrical for mechanical. The dealer covered it for free under a "TSB" for issues with the Corolla fuel pumps. 
Jan 2012 US $280 Code 0171...intake gasket was replaced...a TSB was released for it.

Nov 2008   The ecm went bad, could not drive it, had to be towed. Integrated relay went bad. Was in the shop for 3-5 days due to problem. Was very inconvenient for me to travel. Dealer didn't put me in rental. 
Sep 2009 US $127 mechanic noticed coolant hoses swelling and coolant not flowing properly. replaced upper and lower hoses. 
Mar 2010   brake calipers went bad causing unsafe driving condition. brake calipers,pads,rotors replaced. brought car to shop due to vibration and pulsing at checked brakes and front end. found bad front struts and brake calipers.had to replace calipers,rotors and pads. pads were 6 months old. shop covered pads. had to pay for rotors,calipers. 
May 2010   Motor mounts going bad. but not broken yet so mechanic could not replace. front and rear mounts. 
Sep 2010   took car to Pep boys who said I needed alternator and replaced 2 times and could not fix. lost 419.00 because they could not put good alternator in car. towed car to Toyota dealer who fixed car for 700.00 under extended warranty. 
Jul 2011   rear strut leaking replaced strut. replaced serpentine tensioner. 
Jan 2012   Fix horn Engine and tranny mounts no good. 
Mar 2013   transmission pan gasket leaking. timing chain tensioner exhaust from engine to cat converter starter went bad 
Jul 2013   belt tensr 
Jan 2015   cooling system - replaced water pump,thermostat,both hoses. yr 2013 and hoses in 2015' suspension - control arms bushing went bad with inner and outer tie rods. yr 2013.

Aug 2008 US $500 Rear left wheel bearing was dried up (grease had leaked out unknowingly). There was a humming noise while driving around 35 mph.

Apr 2008   Intermittent squeaking. Problem has been seen in other Corollas. Replaced belt and idler. 3 weeks out of warranty, but Toyota authorized full coverage.
