Reviewed: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6 6-speed manual AWD w/low range

Why the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?

Quietness

For an SUV with this power, very quiet & tightly contained.

Cargo capacity

Plenty of room for the Labs, beach gear & kayaks on top of the ARB rack.

Past personal experience

Plenty of power. On and offroad handling capability. Very safe vehicle if you know how to drive a standard 4x4.

Controls and instruments

Very intuitive. Kiss principle applies here.

Why Not the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?

Fuel economy

SUCKS.

Materials & workmanship

Interior design, cup holders. No locking glove or center console...pretty weak here. Could design a better console myself and probably will in the near future. Get what you pay for. This is a utility only vehicle. Can get you out of a mess real quick.

Feature availability

Overkill in some areas...i.e. stability control, airbags, ABS the usual bullshit American Made feel good standard DOT components mandated by the Nanny State.

Dealer practices

They lie to smart people like myself.

Discounts & incentives

There are NONE.
