Reviewed: 2006 Toyota Highlander

4dr SUV 215-horsepower 3.3L V6 5-speed automatic FWD

Why the 2006 Toyota Highlander?

Reliability & durability

60K miles and no issues. Wife is tough on brakes and we are still on the factory OEM pads. Dodge Caravan wife drove went though pads/rotors every 20K miles.

Driving position & visibility

Wife likes high driving position for view of road

Brand reputation & image

Not much to say, Toyota has made great products. So many people I talk to discuss the fact that they have over 150K miles of maintenance only repairs.

Safety & braking

Awesome brakes and the dynamic stability control works well

Powertrain performance

For a 3.3 liter engine, it puts out amazing power. The Highlander is so much quicker even up to 80MPH than my 2000 Dodge Intrepid 3.2 Liter.
