Introduction

This is the best car I have ever own, bar none. Second place is light years away. The car is indestructible it avarages over 45 miles a gallon city and highway combines. Its never broken down once I have not even had a flat. The regular battery is stiil good. It does not leak or use oi. The brakes are still original. I have to really be picky to find even a very minor thing. The original tires were bad. I used this car for UBER so it was not babied rther it wasa abused Not even a tail light has burned out I tell you the car is indestructible. Any one who does not consider n buying a Prius has to be either a prejudiced persona 500 Lb giant, or very naive and into style and sports car like handling. Anybody else HAS to look at a car that is very roomy never brakes down, its made like no other car I have ever even dreamed of owning. Seriously over 81000 miles and it still has the original lightsand I dont mean the headlights although those too are working fine I mean all lights every single one every lite bulb everything is working and it has never ever broken. Its just amazing I have to pinch my self at times. As a car for a normal four people family where there are no more than one truly oversized individual IT HAS NO RIVAL and 45 + MPG while driving hard ( I have averaged as much as 58 miles mpg baying it ) Talking about oversize I had a steady client for a while that weight arounf 400 lbs and was 6'2' and he fit comfortably in the front passenger seat . What can I tell you . The only thing that holds me back from buying onlky Prius for the rest of my driving days is the Price. I am retired and 26000 plus its a reach. Especially when I can get myself into another really nice toyota product for less and I am only 5 '9' and the old lady is a shrimp.

2014 Toyota Prius Love Letter

The styling to me its great Its a littel different but I like that

Conclusion

Pros everything Cons price for a retired person. Being extremely picky I would tell Toyota to get better tire on the car.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this (newbie here), but I'm so glad to see this! we are currently shopping for a used 2014-15 Prius and I am excited about the kind of car we will get for reliability and fuel efficiency as well as comfort and cargo space for our small family. I'm only skeptical of the car buying process, specifically the USED car buying process. We would love to buy a CPO to have that extra piece of mind, but they are selling like hot cakes and we're not able to secure one. Moving on to other remaining options that we can afford, we've found a couple really good deals on models with around 40k miles. Wondering if anyone in this group would be able/willing to give this newbie car buyer some advice/tips on how to navigate this process and what to look out for when buying used and specifically a used Prius... thanks in advance!

It's not likely many people will see your comment and request here. We have an "ask an owner" section where you can ask Prius owners questions.
For Prius-specific advice, you should also check out the priuschat.com forum.
