Real world mixed 30% in town/city and 70% highway driving 46 mpg! Also important to me is the overall very low emissions.
The Prius hybrid drive seamlessly blends the gas and electric motors to give me adaquate pick up / acceleration when needed but more than excellent fuel economy on a vehicle that is considered midsize.
I like the fact that it looks unique and is readily itentified as a hybrid vehicle. It is also very streamlined and futuristic looking...to me anyways.
The $3500 tax credit that was availble in 2006 was also an incentive to "just buy it" and not wait another year.
