Why Not the 2009 Toyota Prius?

Front seat support & comfort

No height adjustment and a bizarre seating angle.

Driving position & visibility

Due to the lack of height adjustment on the seat I was pitched forward and my head was precariously close to the roof.

Quietness

The Prius is rather quiet in the city, but on the highway it had far more road noise than the Camry hybrid. It also suffered from a lack of sound deadening that allowed noise from other vehicles to enter the cabin.

I dont know what this persons past experience with seating is so it is difficult to assess what he means by bizarre seating possition. I just finished driving my 2009 Prius Hatchback from Fresno California across the lower 48 in some of the most extreme heat conditions I have ever encountered. Phoenix area 116 degree heat. I am 6'4'' and found the seats contrary to what other drivers have reported to be extremely comfortable. We drove 500-700 miles per day and were amazed at the roominess and comfort built into this amazing car. I would have no hesitation to drive this car on any long distance drive. The design effort put into this vehicle is amazing. I find myself looking forward to driving this vehicle even if going to the store! The review above is obviously from a person who concentrates on the negatives. The way I read it he gives the car a 96. That is way above a passing grade in my book.

Impressions of seating comfort probably more than anything else when evaluating a car. There's really no way for a seat designer to make everyone happy.
