Bluetooth quit working
Rattle from passenger seat belt adjuster
New radio ordered and installed.
Heater takes FOREVER to put out heat when weather is cold, and fan must be run on high to adequately heat cabin. Dealer could not find a problem. In troubleshooting he left the cover off the cabin air filter, jamming glovebox open.
Radio unit would occasionally display unreadable characters. To clear the problem required the car to be shut off and power down radio unit.
Dealer replaced unit.
Faulty CD Player Replaced with New unit.
Very infrequently, when turning on the AC this past summer, the AC emitted and continued to emit hot air rather than cold. The dealer could not reproduce or find the problem in shop. Definitely happened a few times but unable to diagnose.
Blutooth microphone did not function since delivery. Device was a port-installed accessory (included on factory window sticker but a 3rd party part.) New bluetooth microphone arrived and was installed.
I found a nice puddle of water on the driver's side floor mat, and discovered the AC hose drain was clogged. I blew it out with some compressed air, and dried out the carpet.
Air conditioning stopped working, car is just over a month old. Dealer claims it is the compressor.
Zero point calibration needed to be performed, as all air bag lights were tripped. This is an occaisional issue on Toyotas that may not be set up correctly from the factory.
I tried to start it in the morning. Once the starter cranked the engine, it wouldn't stop rotating the engine. The engine was running, but also the starter kept on rotating. This car needs to step on the clutch in order for it to start. One day I stepped on the clutch pedal and the car won't start.
Tire Pressure Monitor - sensor in the spare tire failed
CD Player broken
tire pressure light on all the time despite correct inflation
Hazard lights and turn signal lights not working

A/C blows hot. All the subsystems like compressor, sensors, wiring, fuses, relays and refrigerants are OK, Replaced amplifier assembly at $355 with no improvement
The A/C compressor and A/C amplifier had to be replaced. I had the extended warr so I didn't have to pay the $3k repair bill. I'll caveat this bc the car had been in an accident (2 mths prior) but they couldn't be certain it was related.

ENGINE TAKES MORE CRANKING TO START. REPLACED BATTERY WITH HIGHER COLD CRANKING AMP.

Coming back from a 3 week vacation, Rav4 started O.K, but then shut off. Called AAA and they changed battery, but told us Alternator was dead. Went to an independent shop and changed alternator. Now evaruthing it´s O.K.
No engine crank one afternoon-all dash lights came on, but no radio/locks/stuck in park. Towed to dealer where it started w/no problem. TSB done on neutral safety switch-not the issue. It was the 120amp fuse rigged under pervious owner.
Radio went silent on a 5 hour trip back home, no sound/seek/scan. Radio was on and display showed station, but no sound what so ever. Took to dealer and the said the head unit was dead. They replaced it with another used unit they had.

Neutral safety switch faulty... would not start on occasion, then found on a forum that wiggling the shifter would allow start-up. Out of original warranty, but covered under extended.
Vehicle failed to start once several months ago, wiggling shifter alleviated problem. I later discovered a TSB (Tech Service Bulletin) for bad Transmission selector Park switch. Dealer honored TSB despite being 2K miles out of warranty.
Stereo display intermittently goes blank. Unit is uncontrollable when this happens. Only alternative is to shut down the engine to get the stereo to work. What also works sometimes is to run a finger across all the station select buttons.
Radio was erratic both display and on/off. Dealer replaced with new radio. No charge, under extended factory warranty.
Car had trouble starting in the mornings. Dealership said they couldn't find the problem. They said it could be due to a build up on the throttle intake. They were wrong.
Back door sensor doesn't always indicate the door is open causing issues such as the vehicle to auto-lock after a timeout.
The door sensor failure was intermitent but continued to the day we traded it in. We never attempted a fix as we were planning to sell the car anyways. It was just annoying.

Driver and rear cargo power door lock actuators intermittent. Removed actuators, disassembled, removed and disassembled actuator motors, cleaned motor commutator contacts and reassembled. The problem was fixed by this and the locks work.
Passenger power door lock motor went out. I took it out of the car and rebuilt/cleaned the motor. I also did the same on the remaining doors as preventative maintenance since it already went out on 2 doors now. They all work perfect now.
Radio Display issues: LCD "garbled". Radio/CDs still functioned. Toyota TSB for repair "if customer complains".
