Reviewed: 2007 Volkswagen GTI

2dr Hatch turbocharged 200hp 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD

Why the 2007 Volkswagen GTI?

Powertrain performance

Strong torque at low RPMs, yet you can rev it over 6000 rpms when needed.

Handling

tight suspension, very little body roll, and very agile. Transitions very nicely on the highway or when making emergency manuevers.

Fuel economy

I get around ~25-26 MPG on my daily commute (12 miles, about 45 minutes drive time) and I have averaged over 32 MPG on long highway trips.

Price or payments

The GTI was much cheaper then most other cars I was considering (3-series, A4, 9-3, TSX, and G35).
